About me
Welcome, welcome!
It’s nice to meet you — I’m Dillip Kumar Sahoo.
I grew up with a love for drawing Pokémon, but my studies took a hit because of it. Concerned, my mom made me stop drawing, even selling my artwork along with other study materials. After my class 8 exams, I found myself hobby-less. While exploring new activities like cricket, karate, and swimming, I stumbled upon a boxing match on TV. Instantly captivated, I joined a local boxing club with my brother's help.
Boxing soon affected my academics too, leading my parents to reject calls from my coach about participating in national competitions, including the first Khelo India Games in 2019. This strained my relationship with my dad for a year. Determined to keep boxing, I persuaded my parents to buy me gloves and a punching bag to practice on my own after my 10th board exams. However, after a tough loss, my dad suggested I wasn't cut out for boxing.
Feeling lost, I refocused on academics. I considered becoming a Chartered Accountant (CA), inspired by a sir, who instilled in me a love for studying. I even thought about preparing for the UPSC exams.
Eventually, I found my true passion in design, especially in crafting websites and mobile interfaces. After completing my Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), I set my sights on a career in design. Although I didn't pass the entrance exam for the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), I am now preparing for the entrance exams for the National Institute of Design (NID) and NIFT. I'm eager to create digital spaces that are both functional and beautiful, inviting playful exploration.
Feel free to wander around and stay awhile. :-)
